Security
All payment requests must be made during a fully secure Internet Banking session.

Check your Balances and Statements
Your personal account balances and statements are updated daily and can be viewed online.
(The Internet Banking system is updated at approx 18.00 UK local time).

Timescales
Internet Banking transactions that are requested before 15.00 UK local time on a working day will usually be processed the same day. Transactions requested after this time or on a day that is not a working day will usually be processed on the next working day. The length of time required to complete the transaction depends upon the nature of the transaction.

Transfers Between Your AIB Jersey & Isle of Man Accounts
Transfers between your accounts will usually be processed same day and will be reflected in your balances after 18.00 UK local time unless a foreign exchange is required.

Foreign Exchange
For all foreign exchange transactions, please allow 2 additional working days for processing by us.

Internet Banking Transaction Limits
You can make transactions up to a maximum of GBP 10,000.00 or its currency equivalent in any one working day, this includes transfers between your own accounts held at AIB Jersey & Isle of Man.

Third-party Payments
You can nominate up to 10 payees and make payments to them in most currencies. Third-party is defined as any account other than the 5 digit account number that you are accessing using Internet Banking.

Types of Payment

BACS
A 'BACS' payment is a sterling payment that usually takes 3 working days to reach the beneficiary account and can only be remitted to participating banks and building societies in the UK, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar.

CHAPS
A 'CHAPS' payment is a sterling payment that usually reaches the beneficiary account the same day and can only be remitted to participating banks and building societies in the UK, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar.

SWIFT/Telegraphic Transfer
A 'SWIFT/Telegraphic Transfer' payment can be made in most currencies to banks worldwide. Depending on the destination of the payment, funds may be credited to the beneficiary account within 3 working days of the payment being sent by us. If the transfer is not being made to a head office of a bank you should allow further time for cleared funds to be credited to the beneficiary account.  Please also note that all timescales depend on the internal processing times of any banks in the payment chain and that any resulting delays are outside the control of AIB Jersey & Isle of Man.

Transfer
A transfer between sub-accounts held under your 5 digit account number.

Delayed Payment
This lets you specify a date, up to 28 days in the future, on which the payment should be made. Maximum transfer limits per day will apply to this service. Forward dated payments may only be made in the same currency as the account being debited. Sufficient funds need to be held in your account until the date the payment is made.
